Seven's need their space...

A work related friend, someone we had started considering part of our family, our support system, has dumped us rather unceremoniously. I don't know what happened, but one day in September we were celebrating their birthday and now, a month later, barely ten words are shared in the elevator. It hurts to be rejected, more so when there is a long history. It's as if all the good things of the past, the happy times account for nothing...as if the memories we forged together have as much substance as fog drifting out to sea.

As a numerologist, I've been trying to be more Zen about it. After all our former friend is in the throes of a seven year. During a seven year, the need to protect and conserve one's emotional energy is strong. Really, seven year dwellers need to maintain a calm demeanor without. Most of their efforts need to go toward self-discovery and analysis. It is truly all about them.

As such, miscommunications abound during a personal seven year where people expect feedback and interaction that just can't be reciprocated...and perhaps that is what has happened with our friend. So, I'm going to cut this particular friend some slack and hope that the turning of the seasons brings a change of heart.
