11/2/2004
This day calculates out universally to a 19/1 day...a number often associated with what in Numerology is called KARMIC DEBT. The term is defined thusly: numerology presupposes that we are all reincarnated beings, trying lifetime after lifetime to make a better go of it. Sometimes we hit the ball out of the park, other times, we can't see the forest for the trees.

The Karma is the running balance of all the habits we've learned throughout our many lives. If we've wasted our gifts, inflicted pain on others or generally lived in a way that isn't in harmony with our destiny, the debt kicks in.

The 19/1 Karmic Debt, universally applied to tomorrow speaks to the necessity of remembering our interconnectedness. The core number, 1, of course is all about independence and assertion. 1's are not big lover's of playing team sports...they prefer the all or nothing approach to life. In and of itself, being an independent spirit is not bad...in fact it's an important survival skill. But when one drills down to see the double-digit 1 and 9, the picture becomes more nuanced and the call to caution more persistent.

Standing tall on one's own is an essential component of maturity. However, shutting oneself off from others simply in the name of wanting one's own way is potentially pathological. A 19/1 Karmic debt warns against the well known stubborness of the 1 pursuing a narrow path without heed to those around her or him; it's a sort of going it alone no matter what the cost.

Though we are encased in skin and bone, finite and separate from each other, our very existence depends on our acceptance of the needs of others and our ability to work in harmony with those self-same humans. On the US Election Day, let us keep this perspective in the forefront of all our important decisions.

Working with the energy of the 19/1, while understanding it's pitfalls helps us navigate all our new endeavors to greater effect in the long run and with less stress in the short run.
